Shaping the Future of EdTech: Nic Robichaud’s Vision for Reach and Beyond

“We can’t put the AI genie back in the bottle,” says Nic Robichaud.

“Every email, every support ticket—no matter how small—matters,” Nic explains. “We log and review them all because that feedback shapes how Reach evolves. My favourite moments are at User Conferences, where I have real conversations about what’s working and what needs improvement. That’s where the future of our product takes shape—through dialogue with the people who use it every day.”

Nic’s approach isn’t just process-driven; it’s deeply personal. Having lived and worked in independent and boarding schools, he knows firsthand what it’s like to juggle the demands of student life management. “We’ve sat in their seats. That lived experience helps us build tools that make a real difference,” he says.

But what sets Nic apart is how he’s always looking ahead. “AI is a massive watershed moment,” he says. “It’s going to reshape education and society in ways we can’t fully comprehend yet. What’s important now is learning to work with these tools effectively and ethically. There’s no going back, but we can choose how to move forward.”

As Nic dives deeper into this transformative period for education, he’s not just leading Reach—he’s studying the future. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Digital Transformation and Innovation at the University of Ottawa, Nic spends his days building products and his nights reflecting on how tools like AI will define the next chapter of education.

Balancing work and study isn’t always easy, but for Nic, it’s worth it. “Education and technology aren’t just my career—they’re my passion,” he says.

It’s that passion that’s driving Nic’s vision for Reach: to empower schools with tools that aren’t just functional but transformative. Under his guidance, Reach is evolving into more than a student life management platform. It’s becoming a trusted partner for schools navigating a world that’s changing faster than ever.

What’s next for education? At Reach, we believe it’s about combining innovation, human connection, and tools that empower schools to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
